SUMMARY:A Taste of Fall
DESCRIPTION:LIFT WC will present A Taste of Fall in partnership with the Briggs Woods Conference Center on Oct. 6. The event will be held on the 700 block of Second Street with all proceeds from the event going to assist with the restoration of the historic Elks Building. \n\nThe festivities will begin at 5:30 pm with a Garden Social in the Reveiz Park featuring passed hor d’oeuvres and a craft beer and wine tasting provided by Timbukbru and Backcountry Winery\, respectively. Melissa Gillette will provide live background music on her violin. \nDinner will begin at 6:45 pm and will consist of a four-course meal prepared and served by Kelly Haman and the Briggs Woods Conference Center team. Each meal will include two free drink tickets with the opportunity for attendees to purchase additional drinks throughout the evening. \nThe cost per person is $75 and reservations will be required ahead of the event as seating is limited to the first 150. \nThere are three ways to make your reservation: \n\nOnline \nStop by the Groves & Chizek Law Firm  – 1620 Superior Street\, Webster City \nCall 515-297-0296\n\nPayment ahead of the event is required to secure a reservation. \nReservation deadline is midnight Sept. 30. \nIn the event of inclement weather\, the Taste of Fall event will move out to the Briggs Woods Conference Center. The announcement will be made on Friday to local media as well as shared through the LIFT WC Facebook page and on the website. \n\n  \n

SUMMARY:LIFT WC End of Summer Block Party
DESCRIPTION:Join LIFT WC\, Spangler Automotive WC LLC\, and American Legion Post 191\, Iowa Chapter as we close down the 700 block of Second Street for an END OF SUMMER BLOCK PARTY.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe Bag tournament kicks off at 2:00 pm with both Youth (HS and under) and Adult divisions. The registration fee is $20 per team. Champions of each category take 50% of the registration fees. To reserve your spot\, message us through FB or email darcy@liftwc.org with your team name\, team members and division you are wanting to compete in. Teams can check in the day of the event starting at 1:30 pm.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe American Legion will begin serving up a delicious meal and beverages around 4 pm. Picnic tables will be available to dine at. Monies raised will go to benefit the American Legion and LIFT WC. ID is required to purchase alcoholic beverages.\n\n\n \n\n\nLive music will start filling the air at 6:30 pm as local musicians take the outdoor stage to wrap up the fun day. If you want to participate\, simply FB message us or email darcy@liftwc.org. There will be a limit of 7 artists so get on the roster early. We are asking each artists to play 4 songs.\n\n\n \n\n\nBe sure to bring your lawn chair or blankets during the day so you can relax and enjoy all the fun!\n\n\n \n\n\nThroughout the day\, you can purchase tickets for a chance to win a custom-designed Spangler Automotive bag set (boards and bags) created by 39 Design LLC. Retail value $250. Winner will be announced during the outdoor concert around 7:00 pm.\n\n\n \n\n\nAll monies raised at this event\, unless other stated\, will go to assist with the renovation project of the historic Elks Building.\n\n\n \n\n\nAll ages are welcome!

DESCRIPTION:We are featuring local talent once again at our second Local Live Music showcase. \nBring your lawn chair\, blanket\, something to munch on and a beverage\, if you’d like. Then sit back and enjoy some of our amazing local talent inside one of Webster City’s historic landmark buildings. \nWe are looking for solos\, duets\, trios\, and groups of all different music genres to perform a maximum of six songs each.
